I'd say that friction made the ball stop rolling because the ball lost its energy (due to friction). I don't know a huge variety of forces, but I hope this helps somewhat!

Hey there!
If it is rolling down then there will be gravitational force. Also there will be frictional force due from ground and viscus force of air. If the ball is rolling horizontal then there will be only frictional force and viscus force.
