The centrioles in a centrosome develop astral rays and play a significant role in constructing spindle apparatus. A centriole is a hallow, cylindrical organelle inside the centrosome. The thick liquid surrounding the centriole is called centrosphere. The centriole and centrosphere make up the centrosome togethe.
