Displacement = final position - intial position
OR
Displacement = velocity x time

Displacement = velocity x time

Displacement(s) = velocity(v) * time taken for journey(t)
As velocity is a vector quantity and time is a scalar quantity( in classical mechanics), their product turns out to be again a vector. Thus displacement is a vector quantity
