Answer:

Use this simple interest calculator to find A, the Final Investment Value, using the simple interest formula: A = P(1 + rt) where P is the Principal amount of money to be invested at an Interest Rate R% per period for t Number of Time Periods.

Answer:

There are two types of interests in mathematics. They are:

  • Simple Interest
  • Compound Interest

SIMPLE INTEREST

Simple interest is the basic form of calculating interest from the principal amount. There is no time lapses or change in the principal amount at any time. It is denoted by the symbol SI.

✔ Formula

SI = P x R x T/100

      and

Amount (A) = P + I

where,

SI = simple interest

P = Principal amount

R = Rate of interest

T = Time taken

COMPOUND INTEREST

Compound interest is a much more complex form of calculating interest where the interest is calculated both on the principal amount as well as the interest we received. Compound interest gets multiplied during a particular time period.

✔ Formula

A = P (1+\frac{R}{100} )^{t(n)}

where,

A= Amount

P= Principal amount

R= Rate of interest

t(n)= Time taken (n refers to the time period which can range from half an year to many years)
