CONE:

A cone is a solid generated by the revolution of a right-angled triangle about one of its sides containing the right angle as an axis.

  • Lateral/Curved surface area of a cone = πrl square units.

The formula for finding the Slant height of the cone, l = √(r² + h²)

  • Lateral surface area of a cone, LSA = πr√(r² + h²) square units.

Here, 'r' is the radius of the base of a cone, 'l' is the slant height of the cone, 'h' is the height of the cone and the value of π = 22/7 or 3.14.
