pythagoras theorem formula is...

r^2 = x^2 + y^2

where... x stands for adjacent side and y stands for opposite side..

Pythagoras theorem states that in a right angled triangle (Say abc) such that an ab is hypotenuse,bc and ca are sides then (ab) ^2=(bc) ^2+(ca) ^2
