During the derivation of the formula for work done we saw that [1/(γ-1)][P1V1-P2V2], where γ is adiabatic constant, also the ratio of molar specific heat at constant pressure to constant volume, P1 and V1 are the initial pressure and volume, P2 and V2 are the final pressure and volume.
