The formula of the amount in mathematics.
- In mathematics, the formula for the amount can be seen in the Simple Interest (S.I.) chapter, where we can derive the amount formula from simple interest.
- The total payback of money at the termination of the time period for which it was borrowed, then it is called the amount.
- We know that Simple Interest(S.I.) ={Principal(P)×Time period(T)×Rate of Interest(R)}/100.
- Amount(A)= Principal(P) + Simple Interest(S.I.)
= P + (P×T×R)/100
=P{1+((T×R)/100)}
=P{1+(T×r)} [∵r=R/100, where r is the Rate of Interest per
annum in decimal]
