When the n is in even then the formula is

=> median = average of (n/2 ) th and (n/2 +1) th observation

Example - 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10

=> Arranging the numbers in ascending order=1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10

=> here the number of observation n = 10

=> Median = average of (n/2) th and (n/2 +1 )

=> median = 5th + 11th/2

= 16/2

= 8th = 8
