According the stokes theorm the viscous force on a spherical body inside a fluid  is 6π(eta)RV where eta is coefficient of viscosity R is radius of body and V is velocity of the body inside the fluid

palakgusain18: sorry but i want formula of viscous force
palakgusain18: I don't wantbtontheory
palakgusain18: I don't want theorem
Anonymous: F= (eta)A dv/dx where A is area of the layer, and dv/dx is is velocity gradient
palakgusain18: what is (eta)
palakgusain18: ???
Anonymous: Eta is coefficient of vis

Explanation:

  • Viscosity is the measure of resistance to deformation in a liquid. It is similar to the resistance in solid.
  • It elates the viscous stresses in a material to the rate of change of a deformation.
  • The formula of viscous force is given by :

F=-\eta A\dfrac{dv}{dz}

Here,

\eta is viscosity

A is cross sectional area

\dfrac{dv}{dz} is rate of shear deformation

Learn more,

Viscosity
