(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
where y=the horizontal distance
           x=the vertical distance

Hi.

Here is your answer------

When the angel which the line (whose slope is to be calculated) makes with the positive direction of x-axis is given, then the formula to calculate the slope is given as---
                            m = tanθ

Also, When the coordinates of the points which lie in the line is given such that (X1 , Y1) and ( X2 , Y2), then the formula to calculate the slope is given as--------
                           m = (Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1)

Hope it will help u.

Have a nice day.
