to find the hypontenuse of a right angled triangle
take side 1 square
and side 2 square
add the product
square root the sum
example:
hypotenuse=x
side 1 = 3
side 2 = 4
squares
3*3=9
4*4=16
sum
9+16=25
root
(cant type root)root 25=5
so hypotenuse = 5
take side 1 square
and side 2 square
add the product
square root the sum
example:
hypotenuse=x
side 1 = 3
side 2 = 4
squares
3*3=9
4*4=16
sum
9+16=25
root
(cant type root)root 25=5
so hypotenuse = 5
