What is the frequency of light with a wavelength of 18 cm? What part of the spectrum is this?​

First, find the frequency,

 \sfλ= \frac{c}{f}

can be rearranged to give

 \sf \: f \:  =  \frac{c}{ λ}

 \sf{f =  \frac{3 \times 10 {}^{8}m  \s }{0.18m} }

 \sf \: f = 1.7 \times 10 {}^{9} Hz

From the given figure, we can see that this is in the radio part of the spectrum. If we want to observe at this wavelength, we must use a radio telescope.
