Given: wavelength of the re color = 8000A°

To find: Frequency of the red color

Solution: Frequency and wavelength of any color or light is joined by the following formula:

c= fλ

where c is the speed of light, f is frequency and λ is wavelength.

Also we know that c that is speed of light is constant having value 3×10^8 m/s

therefore we can say that if we increase the wavelength then frequency will automatically decrease.

here in the question we need to find frequency of the red color having it's wavelength 8000A°

so putting the values in the above formula

c= fλ

c= 3×10^8 m/s

λ= 8000A°= 8000× 10^(-10) = 8×10^(-7)

f= c/λ

f= 3× 10^8/ 8×10^(-7) = 3.75× 10^14 Hz

Therefore, the frequency of red colour of wavelength 8000A° is

Therefore, the frequency of red colour of wavelength 8000A° is a) f = 3.75× 10^14 Hz
