Full Form of A.M.U is \bf{Atomic\: Mass\: Unit.} .

 \underline{\bf{De}{fination}} :

⏭️ The quantity 1/12th mass of C - 12 isotope is known as atomic mass unit.

⏭️ Since, Mass of 1 atom of C - 12 = 1.9924 × {10}^{-23}

Therefore, 1/12 th pary of the mass of 1 atom = 1/12 × 1.9924 × {10}^{-23}.
= 1.67 × {10}^{-24} g
= 1 amu.

⏭️ Nowadays, amu is replaced by 'u' which means \bf{unified \: mass} .
