CTBT stands for Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty which was implemented to ban all nuclear explosions in all sorts of surroundings. On 10 September 1996, it was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. Countries like China, Egypt, India, Iran, Israel, North Korea, Pakistan, United States are yet to ratify the treaty

NPT stands for Non-Proliferation Treaty that aims to prevent use of nuclear weapons in peaceful uses of nuclear energy. It
was signed in 1968 but entered into force in 1970. 190 parties have joined the treaty and with five states were recognized as nuclear weapon states. These are United States, Russia, The United Kingdom, France and China.
