The National Eligibility cu m entrance Test or NEET is an All India level common entrance test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admissions to MBBS and B DS courses at the Un dergraduate level at various government and priva te medical colleges in the country.

It is the common gateway to medical and dental courses.

Eligibility criteria to appear for NEET is-

The candidate should have completed age of 17 ye arsat the time of admission or will complete the age on or before December 31 of the year  of the admission. There will be no upper age limit for NEET 2018.

The candidate should have cleared their Class 12 or equivalent with Science stream- Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and Mathematics as main subjects with a minimum score of 50 percent.

Candidates who have appeared for class 12th exam and have their results awaited can also sit for the exam.

NEET is the only medical UG entrance examination which is held in an offline mode i.e. with the use of Pen and PaperCandidates will have to mark their responses in OMR answer sheet using a ball-point pen.

180 multiple choice questions will be asked in the examination.There are 45 questions each of Physics and Chemistry and 90 questions of Biology.
