# cell are tall and slender.
# nucleus is elongated and lie on base of cell.
# have goblet cells which excrete mucus.
# have three type of apical surface-
1 free apical surface
2 brush bordered: increase surface for transfer of particles.

3 ciliated columnar: expels trapped dust particles and debris in mucous towards pharynx.

These cells are tall .

These cells are Cylindrical.

These cells are Pillar like.

The basal part of the cells which rests on the basement membrane bears oval nucleus.

The free ends present in these cells are known as microvilli .

They are present in our pharynx, stomach, intestine etc.

Function - To clarify air from dust particles inside our body.
