The function of digester tank in the biogas plant is that it stores the slurry for a period of time under the soil.
Moreover it is the place in biogas plant where the anaerobic degradation. So, it also helps in anaerobic degradation of the slurry to produce gasses like methane, hydrogen, hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide.
