Hey! ! !

Answer :-

☆ Digestive enzymes are present to break down the various food items that are eaten. For example, proteases break proteins down into small peptides and amino acids. ... Through salivary amylase, starch in the food can then be broken down into maltose, which is a simpler form of starch.
