Amylases break down starches and other carbohydrates into disaccharides, and digestive enzymes such as sucrase, lactase, and maltase break down disaccharides into absorbable simple sugars (monosaccharides) Proteases break down proteins into peptides, and peptidases break those peptides down into absorbable amino acids.

The digestive enzymes are the biocatalyst present in our body which helps in the break down of the complex food molecules like carbohydrates , fats , proteins etc. into small particles.

So that these small particles can be digested easily.
