• control the voluntry actions

• store information (memory)

• centre associated with hunger

• receive sensory impulse from various parts of the body and integrate it.

it controls body temp. reproductive function eating,sleeping and any display of emotions . At the five vesicle stages ,the forebrain seperate into diencephalon and the telencephalon which into the cerebrum
