major function is modifying sorting and packaging of proteins for secrition.it is also involved in the  transport of lipid around the cell.and the creation of lysosomes ,

Golgi Bodies are also called Golgi Appartus. It is 1st discovered by Cemillo Golgi. It consists of membrane bound structures parallel to each other. They are Vacuole, Cisterina and Vesicle. It is disc shaped sac like structure.


It is also known as post office of cell.

These are present in Eukaryotic cells.

Freely distributed subunits of Golgi Appartus known as Dictyosomes.
