ANSWER:

Iris is the most important part of the eye. It helps the eye to change its diameter according to the light incident on the eye. The eye contract and expand according to the light to get the clear image. The light richest to the retina and the image formation occurs there and then it is transferred to the Brain for the processing.

EXPLANATION:

       Iris is also responsible for the colour of the eye in the human. Different person have different colour eyes but the colour is same in the both eyes. Persistence of eye is the phenomenon of retina by which it helps in watching the television or movie.

       When the light falls in the retina it stays there for 1/116 seconds which is very small amount of time. That's why fast moving still images appears like a movie.
