In an organization, management is the authority that holds the power of decision making. An organization cannot operate without a management. It is one of the four factors of business, enterprise. 

Management in an organization has following functions:

(i) Planning: It is responsible to plan for the future ventures of the organization. It portrays business plans for the organization. 

(ii) Organization: Organizing production is the responsibility of the management. It has to make arrangements for the productions of the goods or services. 

(iii) Leadership: Management is the building block of the organization. It has to lead projects as well as provide motivation to employees and create good working environment. 

(iv) Controlling: The management is responsible to balance the trading and income of the organization. It keeps the balance of capital; profit and loss.
