The nephron (from Greek νεφρός - nephros, meaning "kidney") is the basic structural and functional unit of the kidney. Its chieffunction is to regulate the concentration of water and soluble substances like sodium salts by filtering the blood, reabsorbing what is needed and excreting the rest as urine.

NEPHRONS IN KIDNEY:-
1. Nephron are long tubular structures.
2. It is made up of glomerulus , Bowman's capsule and a long renal tube.
3. Nephron are the basic filteration unit of kidney. Each nephron filters the blood and separates the nitorgenous waste in the form of urine.
