What is the function of neurotransmitter?

Neurotransmitter:

Nuerotransmitters are chemicals which enable neurotransmission. I.e The chemical messengers which transmits signal from one neuron to another target neuron or any cell (muscle cell or gland cell).

Example for neurotransmitter is Acetyl choline (Ach).

Neurotransmitter is a chemical substance which is present in synapse.
It transferred electric signals from synapse to dendrites of other neuron.
