it protects earth from the high ultraviolet rays of the sun that can cause skin cancer , with ozone it is not entering earth but nowadays holes are formed on ozone due to global warming

the ozone layer works as protective layer so as to protect us from harmful ultraviolet radiations emits from the sun. these radiations causes severe burn and skin cancer which may leading to death of a individual . so our life is indirectly or directly dependent on these ozone layer
