Phloem transfers the food to all the parts of the plant so that each part may get good supply of food and no part should be left in provided while xylem transfers water absorbed by the roots to every part of the plant it is very beneficial as with water it absorbs minerals which are helpful for the growth of the plant.
Hope this will help you
