The roots absorb water and minerals from the soil and anchor the plant in the ground. The stem supports the plant above ground, and carries the water and minerals to the leaves. The leaves collect energy from the Sun and make food for the plant, using an amazing process called photosynthesis.

Plants are the livings creatures. Plants are the only producers in our ecosystem. Their function is to pproduce food as only plants have the ability to make their own food (by the process of photosynthesis), and as we know that we eat plants as our food, as well as animals also depend on plants for their food. We are dependent on plants for oxygen as well as they release oxygen and without oxygen we cannot live. Plants also helps to reduce pollution, we get a lot of things from plants such wood as fuel, shelter, fruits to eat, they purify the air, medicines etc.
