Platelet are tiny blood cell that prevent your body to stop bleeding. If one of your blood vessels gets damaged, it sends out signals that are picked up by platelets. The platelets then rush to the site of damage and form a plug, or clot, to repair the damage.

Platelets clots the blood, if the blood comes in contact with the air.
If there would be no platelets in our body then if get cut the flow of blood will be continues and will not stop flowing.
