What is the function of receptors in our body?Think of situation where receptors do no work properly. What problems are likely to arise?

Receptors are present in our all parts of the body for example in skin, eye, nose tongue etc. They detect the signals and then send them to brain in the form of electrical signals. Receptors can become dysfunctional temporarily or sometimes permanently depending upon the level of exposure to a certain stimulus.

Receptors are special stimulus which help in responding to surrounding environment. There are 5 types of receptors , Light ( Photoreceptor ) , Sound , ear ( Phonoreceptor ) , Taste ( Gustutory receptor ) , Skin ( Tactile Receptor ) Smell ( Olfactory Indicators ).

if a situation arise that receptors are do not work properly then many problems were raised means control and coordination does not happen.if any stimulaion is happening on body or inside the body u are unable to know about them .
