there are different types of receptors in our body which send messages to brain and sends back

if they don't work or function no action can takes place example swallowing eating drinking etx

Receptor are the special cell present in our sense organs receptor detect all the information form our environment and feed it to the nervous system for example gustatory receptor present in our tongue detect taste of our food where olfactory receptor present in our nose detect is smell if gustatory receptor of our tongue do not work properly we will not able to know the taste of different types of food weather sweet salty sour are or bitter etc
