Heya!!

✍The retina has the main function of perceiving the light rays which has been focussed by the eye lens on it . An inverted real image is formed on the retina from which these light rays are transferred to the brain as neural signals so that the brain can make a perfect image.

Answer:

Retina is the thin layer of tissue that lines the back of the eye on the inside. The purpose of retina is to receive light that the lens has focused, convert the light into neural signals, and send on to the Brain for visual recognition.
