Leukoderma is said to be a condition which is acquired by the loss of pigmentation where it turns patchy on the skin and body. Albinism is a congenital disorder that is a defect of the melanin that is produced by our skin that results in the little or no colour in the hair, eyes, or skin.

Difference between of Leucoderma is:

◆ It is a. inherited genetic disorder.

◆ Melanocytes are present throughout the skin but they do not produce the pigment melanin.

◆ It is irreversible.

Difference between of Vitiligo is:-

◆ It is not a genetic disorder and children are born with normal skin.

◆ Melanocytes are destroyed by the immune system gradually leading to patchy skin. So melonocytes are absent reduced regions.

◆ It can be resolved by controlling the immune attack and helping the melanocytes grow back.
