The stamen holds pollen grains which is the male gamete
The carpel is the female reproductive organ holding the ovules which are the female gamete.
They help in fertilisation

Ashley99: pollen grain is not male gamete, the male gamete is present inside the pollen grains known as male nuclei .pollen are male gametophyte.
