➪ Stomata is a tiny pore present in the plant leaves.

➪ Stoma → (plural = stomata).

FUNCTIONS OF STOMATA IN PLANTS :

• The main function of the stomata is - It helps plant in the exchange of gases from the atmosphere.

• Stomata close and open the pores for exchange of the gases in the leaves of the plants.

• It helps in photosynthesis.

• It helps in transpiration.

• Stomata pores maintain the balance of moisture in the plants.
