evry animals tail has a particular function.Some animals use their tail to catch branches whereas elephant use their tail to keep away flies

Elephant's tail is used for the prevention of flies and other insects which tend to irritate the elephant's buttocks as there is some presence of it's stool there even. Tail also helps in removing stuck stool on buttocks.
