Function of thalamus in plant is to bear all the four whorls of the flower.

Explanation:

The lower part of the flower is composed of two parts namely pedicle and thalamus. The pedicle is the region where the flower blooms and the upper region of pedicle is again composed of two regions called calyx and bulged region called thalamus.

The calyx provides protection to the flower right from its bud stage to till it matures into a flower. The thalamus is the base on which the whorls of the flower are attached.
