UV rays are transmitted from Sun which can cause skin cancer when the UV rays touches an organism.

Ozone Layer just reflect the UV rays.

Nekyo: right but that's artificial UV light. like we have torches there are UV torches which can be used to make o3 (aka ozone)
Nekyo: natural Uv rays coming from sun just cause cancer and other diseases in animal and other destructive diseases in plants
mandy17: not artifical uv
Nekyo: natural UV can't be used in production of o3
mandy17: so how o3 is formed
Nekyo: I'm not really sure. lemme search the net
mandy17: kkk
mandy17: 03+0 form O3 but it required energy which is provided by uv
Nekyo: uv just breaks o2 into 2 o atoms. if one o atom then combines with o2 molecule then o3 is formed. it's quite rare
mandy17: but for its association energy is reqd.

UV rays or Ultra Violet rays are harmful rays emitted by sun along with the light rays. These rays can cause serious problems but the Ozone layer of our atmosphere prevents these rays from entering the troposphere and eventually coming in contact with our skin.

mandy17: does ozone absorb uv
Nekyo: yes to some extent. the other part of UV rays is reflected back in space
Nekyo: also à part of the UV rays enter the atmosphere (ozone cannot completely block or reflect them)
mandy17: i think some part is reflected while some part use by the o3 and o to form a bond
