White blood cells or Leukocytes are the cells in our body that are present in our bone marrow, they make the immune system and fight infections and pathogens entering our body . They are created along with the RBCs and Platelets from the "hematopoietic stem cells".

An example of this can be seen in the Vidal test showing high number of WBCs that shows for the Typhoid, when we have typhoid our WBCs increase in number and our blood gets denser. Thus, the Vidal test shows an increased number of WBCs.
