The primary organs of the respiratory system are lungs. They carry out
the exchange of gases as the breathing process occurs. The main function
are :-
1.Distribution of air and carry out gas exchange
2. It filters and humdifies the air that we breathe in
3. The organs of this system also take part in speech and smell
4. Maintains balance in the internal elements of the body
5. Carries out internal as well as external respiration
6. Carries olfaction process also.
