Shintoism is Japan's indigenous religion. Since Buddhism is a widespread religion, there is a lot of available information on this practice. However, not much is generally known about Shintoism. In Shinto, it is believed that everything has a spirit, even stones, trees and mountains.

Explanation:

There are four "Vedic" Samhitas: the Rig-Veda, Sama-Veda, Yajur-Veda, and Atharva-Veda, most of which are available in several recensions (śākhā). In some contexts, the term Veda is used to refer to these Samhitas.
