GCF (Greatest common factor)of any numbers is the greatest number that divides the numbers.The name itself suggest that it is the greatest factor of those numbers.

Steps to find GCF of two numbers

1)Factorize the two numbers

18=2 x 3 x 3

30=2 x 3 x 5

2)Now we find the factors which are common for both

18=2 x 3 x 3

30=2 x 3 x 5

So we see that 2 and 3 are common factors for both

3)Now we find the product of the common factors

So GCF=2 x 3=6

ANSWER: GCF of 18 and 30 is 6

HOPE  THIS HELPS :)
