In summer there is low pressure i Indian subcontinent due to sun shining directly on Tropic of cancer which passes midway through India. This means there is High pressure in Arabian sea and bay of bengal.so as we know that winds blow from high pressure to low pressure. And this is known as Monsoon which brings rain to whole of indian sub-continent.
In winters there is reversal of these seasonal winds as sun shines directly on Tropic of capricorn which creates low pressure .This cause reversal of wind which blows again from high to low pressure from land to sea.
