Genotype of the F2, generation are:

TT, Tt, tT, tt.
i.e. 3 plants are tall and one is dwarf.

And genotypic ratio is 1:2:1.

In monohybrid Cross, the progeny of F2 generation shows two types of traits. The dominant traits are seen in the 75% of progeny and recessive traits in 25%.

When Mendel cross the progeny of F1 generation, the genotypes seen in the progeny were of four types.

Ex. While contrasting the traits of height.

The genotype were TT, Tt, tT and tt.

Hence the phenotypice ratio is 3:1 and the genotypic ratio is 1:2:1.
