Explanation:

the maximum height it will rise ,

here velocity (v)=0

a=-g

s=h

so,

v^2=u^2+2 as

o=u^2+2×-g×h

0=u^2-2gh

u^2-2gh=0

-2gh=-u^2

h=u^2/2g
