What is the greatest number of squares each measuring two centimeters by two centimeters that can be cut from a rectangle with a length of eight centimeters and a width of 7 centimeters?

Hey there,

Area of rectangle=7 cm*8 cm=56 cm²

Area of square=2 cm*2 cm=4 cm²

Number of squares=56 cm²/4 cm²=14 squares
