When the amount of co2 rise in atmosphere which results in trapping the heat radiation of sun light and doesn't allows to reflect back . Thus the temperature of the earth increases . This effect is called green house effect . It leads to global warming . co2 is called greenhouse gas.

greenhouse gases has the property to adapt heat and doesn't allow to escape so the temperature of that place increase and results in global warming. In this way greenhouse effect leads to climate change.
