Growing up if we saw a group of roosters looking at us we assumed they were rating our attractiveness. You haven’t lived unless you’ve experienced “the dance of love” from an approximately knee high rooster. We always called them “a gang”. That was our family’s loving term . We also always assumed they were secretly armed,(or winged), with switchblades….for protection of course. The ladies were “a flock”. They basically just wanted the roosters to leave them alone so they could relax. Alot like humans I know actually!!!
